Covid-19 update.
Following the change in government guidance, we can now hold services in the church. Therefore we are pleased to announce that from Sunday 12 July we will hold Mass at 8am and at 10am. The online Mass will continue to be held, but will be moved to 11am.

For the foreseeable future, services will be different from what we are used to. For example, there will be no singing and we will need to observe social distancing. You will also notice several other changes: for example, the chairs will be spaced out, hand sanitiser will be provided and we won’t be able to offer refreshments afterwards. We may also need to limit numbers if it becomes hard to socially distance. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer dedicated facilities (such as toys or a play area) for children.

You are welcome to attend either service or, if you prefer, to join the online service. If you do attend a service please consider your own safety and that of others: do not come if you or anyone in your household is unwell, make sure you keep 2 metres apart and consider whether you want to wear a face mask. If you are in a vulnerable group, you may prefer to attend the 8am rather than the 10am service.

In line with the government’s guidance on social distancing, and the Church of England’s suspension of public worship, we are no longer meeting as normal. The Goose Green Centre is also closed. We are open for private prayer on Sundays from 4pm to 6pm and on Thursdays from 12pm to 2pm and church services will resume in a modified form on Sunday 12 July. Our rhythm of prayer, celebrating the eucharist and reaching out to the most vulnerable in our society continues. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Parish Finances. The pandemic is touching us all in different ways and although we continue to strive to be at the heart of our community, we are also being affected by this unprecedented situation. We are no longer receiving income from the hire of the Goose Green Centre nor are we receiving offerings in the collection plate on a Sunday. We have tried to reduce our costs as much as possible but just reducing our costs will not be enough to cover our outgoings. We understand that for many these are uncertain times financially but if you feel you can support us by making a donation, no matter how small, we would be extremely grateful. Thank you.
