Please do not use this button for payments such as hall hire or wedding fees. For these please contact the Parish Office.

MAKE A REGULAR DONATION TO ST JOHN’S

Giving by Direct Debit or Standing Order provides us with regular income and a degree of certainty.  If you are already a regular giver to St John’s we hope you can continue to support us and if you are able to increase your giving in any way then that would be much appreciated.

The best way for you to support St John’s on a regular basis is by joining the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). This is a free Direct Debit scheme, enabling you to give safely and securely. We receive 100% of your donation and any Gift Aid is automatically claimed. This means reduced administration for our Treasurer and Gift Aid Secretary.

To find out more about PGS you can watch this video, read our donor leaflet. You can contact the Stewardship Team via the Parish Office email:  office@stjohnseastdulwich.org

You can sign up online, by telephone or post. If you are a UK taxpayer please opt into Gift Aid as this will increase the value of your donation by 25% at no cost to yourself. Please choose to inflation-link your giving which will make a huge difference to our church’s finances.

To join via telephone, call 0333 002 1271 (lines are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). You will need your personal bank account details, and our PGS details: church name – East Dulwich St John, PGS parish code – 370637042.

To join via post, please print, complete and post this gift form here.

If you are moving from giving by Standing Order to giving by the PGS, please don’t forget to cancel your existing Standing Order.  It is best to do this once you have set up your Direct Debit as this will take 2 – 6 weeks to set up.

Giving by Standing Order

If you would prefer to give by Standing Order, or amend your existing Standing Order, you can download a copy of our Standing Order form here. If you are an eligible tax payer please consider gift aiding your donation.  Completed forms should be sent to the Stewardship Team at the address given on the form.

In the meantime, if you would like to make a donation online, you can do so above. We are extremely grateful for any support you can give while we continue to strive to be at the heart of our community.

SUPPORT THE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GOOSE GREEN CENTRE

The Goose Green Community Centre is now over 25 years old. We are planning a number of improvements to the Centre to make the Centre and Church accessible to all and to replace the existing toilets with new toilet and hygiene facilities to meet the needs of our users for the years to come. We will replace the existing double front door with two new doors, which will be power operated. One of these doors will be wide enough for a wheelchair/scooter to use, without the other door being opened. This will be more welcoming, accessible to all, and empower visitors to the Centre and Church.

The new toilet facilities include five individual self-contained cubicles, each including a WC, basin and hand drier. One of these cubicles will be fully accessible for wheelchair users and will also include a shower, washing machine and baby-changing facilities. Another “ambulant” cubicle will be large enough to accommodate a child and carer together.  The plans envisage several other enhancements: the cleaning cupboard will be more accessible and will include drainage facilities. This means that waste products will no longer have to be carried into the kitchen to be disposed of. The fully accessible toilet will be accessed directly from the foyer without having to negotiate a narrow doorway.

The improved shower and installation of a washing machine will enable us to properly support overnight guests such as those housed by the Robes Project.
The total cost of this work is expected to be in the region of £109,000 – £114,000 (including contingencies). We are seeking grant funding for the majority of the costs, but need to raise at least £5,000 from donations towards the cost of this work.

ST JOHN’S FLOWER FUND

To commemorate a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary, birthday or in memory of a loved one, or to help pay for the pedestals of flowers in the Sanctuary and Lady Chapel at major festivals, people can make a donation towards these church flowers.

Please click here  if you wish to donate to the St John’s Flower Fund. These donations will be used for flowers in church on Sunday. If you would like to donate in name of a loved one or to mark a special anniversary then please contact the Parish Administrator.

GIFT AID DONATIONS

If you are an eligible UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your gift at no cost to yourself by gift aiding it. Many of our ways of giving already include a gift aid declaration, however you can also download a separate Gift Aid declaration, which you should complete and send to the Parish Office marked for the attention of the Stewardship Secretary.
