St John’s East Dulwich
St John’s is a warm, welcoming and inclusive church at the heart of East Dulwich, a community made up of people of all ages and backgrounds.
St John’s is part of the Church of England, in the Diocese of Southwark, and we are members of the Inclusive Church network. You are very welcome to join us, wherever you are on your pilgrimage of faith.
Our main Sunday service is our Sung Mass at 10am, with a Said Mass at 8am in traditional language.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, to allow for social distancing, there is reduced seating capacity, though we are not asking people to book in advance and we have not yet had to turn anyone away. If would prefer to avoid large indoor gatherings, you might like to consider coming to our 8am service, which has lower numbers. After the 10am service, weather permitting, we serve fair trade coffee, tea and soft drinks outside in the churchyard, and you are welcome to join us.
Our Coronavirus Care Plan is based on our shared calling to care for one another, to love our neighbours, and play our part in reducing transmission of the virus. It is currently mandatory to wear a face covering in places of worship (unless you are exempt). We keep safety measures under regular review, and will post any changes on this website.
Our 10am service, as well as special services, are being live streamed via Zoom and YouTube. Please check our Services page for more information on live streaming or sign up for our weekly email to receive up-to-date information about what is happening at St John’s.
Join us on Sunday 18 July at 4pm for a new Messy Church service
