Welcome to St John’s East Dulwich
St John’s is a warm, welcoming and inclusive church at the heart of East Dulwich, a community made up of people of all ages and backgrounds.
St John’s is part of the Church of England, in the Diocese of Southwark, and we are members of the Inclusive Church network. You are very welcome to join us, wherever you are on your pilgrimage of faith. As an inclusive church we believe in church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.
Our main Sunday service is our Sung Mass at 10am, with a Said Mass at 8am in traditional language. After the 10am service, we serve fair trade coffee, tea and soft drinks in the church hall.
Our 10am service, as well as special services, are live streamed. Please check our Weekly notices page for a copy of our current church notice sheet. To join our live streamed services please sign up for our weekly email to receive a link to the services and up-to-date information about what is happening at St John’s.
