Confirmation Classes

Confirmation marks the point in our Christian journey at which we affirm for ourselves the faith into which we have been baptized and our intention to live a life of committed discipleship. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. The Church also asks God to give you power through the Holy Spirit to enable you to live in the way of Jesus.

Confirmation is also the point at which we are admitted to Holy Communion, unless we have already been prepared for this as a child.

You can find out more by going to the Church of England website via the following link

If you have not yet been confirmed and would like to be, we will be running a preparation course for adults on Thursday evenings (7.30 pm to 8.30 pm) from 6 March to 3 April. These are designed to enable you to be confirmed by the Bishop of Woolwich at the Dulwich Deanery Confirmation Service at St Stephen’s, South Dulwich on Sunday 11 May at 6 pm.

We are also planning to run a separate course for teenagers (year 8 and above) during March and April.

If you would like to enrol on either of these courses, please contact us as soon as possible at
