1.00pm St John’s and St Clement’s School Violin Players
St John’s and St Clement’s school violins play using the Suzuki method: players at all levels learn the same repertoire and practice and perform regularly together as a group. Today they will play a variety of pieces to showcase players at all levels. You might just recognise some of the tunes!
1.20pm John Webber
Organ classics brought to life by St. John’s Director of Music. Enjoy rousing pieces by Camille Saint-Saëns and Nicolas Jacques Lemmens.
1.30pm Talbot Trio
This talented strings’ trio will play classical music by Haydn, in a series of contrasting movements which will by turn delight and quieten the soul.
1.55pm Koruso
Vibrant community choir Koruso will be singing a range of popular and traditional music, from “Ain’t Misbehavin” to the “Chorus of the Pirates”. Koruso perform music which bridges cultures and unites people in Southwark and beyond. Come and be wowed!
2.20pm Seamus and Sian
Delight in the always entertaining piano duets and solos brought to us by this popular local pairing. Composers included are Mozart, Chopin, Gershwin and Charles Mingus.
2.45pm The Elm Singers
The Elm Singers’ beautiful renditions of English madrigals, Victorian and Edwardian part songs, sacred pieces and folk songs will transport us to back to the pastoral times of Goose Green.
3.15pm St. John’s Strings
String players from St. John’s continue our afternoon of musical enjoyment with well-known tunes including Pachelbel’s Canon (in D).
